While using the Internet,I came across Your website and noticed the name John Karabaic.I went further and checked the missing aircraft report which had his home address on it. I had worked with John in the stationery business before we both went into the service. I recall meeting him after the war but our paths went different ways and I never saw him again. I would like to know what has happened to him since. It has been 56 years since our last meeting. Thank You

I was pilot of Toni Gayle on June 26,1944 on the mission to Schwechat, Austtria.It would have been my 44th. mission but we were shot down.My co-pilot and good friend was Tom Begush from E Harford, conn.

My father was in military service in Aeronautica Militare Italiana in Lecce (Puglia-Italia). On 18 november 1943 he rescued an american pilot who was fainted in the airplane on fire that couldn�t take off. The pilot died due to an incident of the help-means that was transporting him. My father was decorated for Military Valor by the Aeronautica Militare Italiana for the action he made; I�d like to know the name of the pilot and more details about this action. I am doing an historical research about Osoppo, Italy and I live about 2 miles near of this town. Osoppo during 1944/45 had an airfield bombed by 450th Bomber Group at 16 Jannuary 1944. Just this past Memorial Day weekend I found some old do #$@%! in my attic. Among them were various items from Sgt George Weishaar, my grandmother's first husband. From as near as I can tell, he was a gunner with the 721st but was shot down and killed on 6/24/44. The web site has been wonderful as I try to retrace history. Thank you!

My father, Myron (Mike) Leach was a tail gunner on a B17 and was in Italy in late 44. He flew his first mission in March of 1945. He was from Buffalo, NY. He mentioned a mission from Europe to Newfoundland and spoke highly of a Capt. Brock. Would anyone have any information on him?
