Comments I know you are getting ready for the reunion. If anyone has any information on Capt. Henry C. Macqueen who was shot down on June 24, 1944 and taken prisoner in Rumania, I would like to know where he is. He is mentioned in the book "War of the Cottontails". Thanks.

Comments I was just search the name Dalenta and I saw this web site with the name Cpl. Walter Dalenta, which I think is my uncle, all I know that he died in the war. Comments I still think of the times when my family and I were under the flight paths of the 450th BG on their way to Ploiesti, Rumania, and what a joy it was to se them fly overhead on their way, as well as the big plume of dark smoke over Bucharest as the oil fields burned away. My family (US citizens) at that time was under house arrest as "enemy aliens" of the axis powers but my father was well regarded by all the Rumanian neighbors who hoped that he represented freedom for them. Having served in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict myself, the mission and daring of those wonderful airmen over Rumania and Ploesti is a fact well appreciated. We were liberated from the Nazis by the Liberators and their wonderful airmen...Thanks again..... Harry

Comments I'm a writer and psychologist in the process of collecting detailed stories to be a part of or in total; a book(s)for the purpose of preserving history and individual stories from WWII. I have met with the crew from the Collins Foundation that flies the B-24 that tours the country with a B17E and visits the Tampa Bay area each winter. That is one fine looking machine.
