I was the bombardier/navigator on the Little Stinker (you show and list it as stinkeys siren) 450th bombardment gp 723rd squadron. Shot down April 16,1944 POW till august retired USAF 1962. I'll be 87 in March 2005 is their any of my crew left.

Hi! My dad is Sgt. Raymond C. Doran of the 723rd squadron. He was a mechanic. Does anyone remember him ? He will be celebrating his 83rd birthday on Jan 29th 2005. I am trying to talk him into attending the reunion in Penn. He has a diary and pictures from Italy and I am in the process of sending them to this website. When I stumbled upon this site, I sat with him and showed him all the info here. What a joy it was to see his eyes light up remembering all his comrades. Thanks for making this site possible.

I am collecting information on 56 boys from East Nashville High School that died in WWII; George Stanley, a Flight Officer of the 450th BG, is one of them. He died February 23, 1944, and is buried in the cemetery where I work, Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. Anyone that can help me with any information on this hero, please e-mail me. I am a friend of 1Lt John (Jon) W. Bruder, navigator, 721st Squadron, 450th BG. Jon was discharged in Sept 1945, and ultimately became a priest, a Trappist Monk, living the contemplative life in Danville, Vermont.
