I am requesting knowledge from anyone who knew what aircraft my father, Leo H LaFountain, flew in after the Jeannie. Also if anyone has additional pictures in which my father appears I would appreciate that information. Again my sincerest thanks for all that you did for the world during those trying times.

Correction to Flight Roster. Edward T. Schab should read Edward T. Schwab of the 720th. I spoke to him Labor Day weekend about his Ploesti missions. He lives in Sagamore Hills, OH. I have known him for about 42 years. Thank you.

My late brother Dan, a Bombardier, was a comrade in arms with the 376th BG, 512 SQ in San Pancrazio, Italy from Jan 44 until completing 51 missions and rotating home in July 44 to become an instructor at Bombardier school. I really am impressed with the number of photos on your site.

My dad, Anthony Domagala, was a bombardier on "Bottoms Up" - 721st - but he wasn't in the website picture of that aircraft. Can anyone help me with information about his time in Italy. He would never say and I'm trying to fill in the blanks. Would appreciate any info about him and the aircraft. Thanks.

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of my Dad, Joseph B. Rapoza, on 29 April 2003. Sgt. Rapoza was a B24 tail gunner assigned to the 723rd BS in Manduria, Italy. He was a fighter right up to the end and he will be sadly missed.

Everytime I visit this site, something on it triggers a memory that my dad, Salvatore Mauro, a member of the 450th told me about. One "ship" that he would talk to me about was named "The Flying 4 F's". I found her in the 721st roster. I believe that dad was also attached to the 721st. He mentioned Captain Jacoby, whose picture I found on your site. He also talked fondly about Dr. William Smith. He said the men called him "Sanitary Willie." Thank you again for the wonderful things that you have put together here.

Capt. Arthur L. Campa, pictured with staff, was my cousin. While he was in Europe, towards the final phases of WWII I was in the Southeast Pacific. Lost track of him after the War but knew that he had a son and possibly a daughter. Would appreciate any information of how to get in touch with either or both of them.
