Grandfather was in the 459th Bomb Group, 758th Squadron. He was shot down on 4/4/44 bombing the Marshalling Fields. Looks like the 450th was on the same run. Edward Schwab Jr. was in the Bucharest Prison Camp #13. Do you have any information on the camp? My grandfather was in the same camp and I'm heading there in a week to check the area out. Thanks - Jay B.

I have a copy of the Molto Buono dated August 19,1944. If you are interested, tell me how I can scan it to get it to you. My father, Aruthur Myers, was a member of the 721st Bombardment, 450th group. By the way, you have his name misspelled. He was part of the 'Weichman Crew', who all made it back alive. I have pictures of the group, if you are interested. I just recently ran across the letters that he wrote his parents, and found out that he had his own crew after mid-December 1944, I would like to find out who he flew with tnen, as he was piloting, instead of co-pilot. Please contact me at above email address or at nanzjean@aol.com Thanks! this has been fun!

When I was six years old (1945) I remember sitting in a clothes basket while my mother ironed something to wear for work at Republic Aviation on Long Island. I remember it was still dark. A man came to the house with a flight jacket on and hat. That is all I remember of him but he has always been in my thoughts. That man was Wesley Kozenka, my uncle. Recently I purchased a computer and have been doing family research. In December I discovered that he is memorialized in S-R Cemetery. I have since discovered much more information on him thanks to your website. I am always numb and in a state of disbelief for a few hours after I discover any information. Is it possible to obtain a copy of the "last crew" photo of the "Bottoms Up" crew that is on this site? I have no pictures of him. I wish my father was alive to share this with. Thanks so very much for your contribution to all of us who are seeking information on those so dear to us. Carol (Kozenka) Roberts.

What a nice tribute to the 450th and the men who fought and died there. Our Brother, Lt. Frank Millspaugh Jr. (co-pilot) and his crew, crashed at this base on July 31, 1944, taking off on a raid. He and most of crew buried at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Paul F.C. Radue is my grandfather and was a pilot in this group. I don't know much about what he did, but I do know he flew a lot more missions than he was required to, and that he hasn't received all of his well deserved medals. I found one picture of him on the website and was wondering if anyone has anymore pictures with him in it. He's alive and well and living in Iowa. Thanks!

Sorry about that. I read that the Lady Be Good was lost. Does anyone know what the name of my dad's aircraft was? (Alvin W. Goodman, Jr., 721st Squadron, 450th BG)

I am the eldest son of Alvin W. Goodman, Jr. My dad was a co-pilot aboard Paul Llewellyn's crew, and I believe his aircraft's name was the "Lady Be Good". I am very proud of my dad, and the web-site nearly brought tears to my eyes as I researched his crew, and the story written by Everett Frank, which I believe detailed an interesting story about the plane he co'd. Dad is 79 years old now, but still flies charter Lear Jets. I joined the USAF in 1978 (8th AF, SAC), and spent nearly 14 years at it. I finished my time with the Maine Army National Guard, with nearly 21 years of service. My Dad loves his 450th reunions, and I proudly sport a 450th Cottontail bumper sticker on my pick-up truck.

This site is just great! I found my father's B-24 in the airplane photo section. His plane was the Ten Fighting Cock's and his name can be seen painted under the cockpit window...E.A.Ley! What a great surprise to see it here. I have been to two 450th reunions, one in Orlando with my mother, and one nine years ago in San Diego. They are so worth going to, so if anyone is considering going, I recommend by all means go! Anyone out there that flew with my father? Would love to hear from you.
