I really think it is great you have this website. I will tell my Dad to sign on and fill in his information. He was a Pilot in the 721st. My daughter did a report on her Grandpa last year and it included a lot of information from his many missions. We got to see his mission plans, crew lists, etc. It is all amazing history. Many thanks for our many freedoms!

What a great time I had at the 2003 reunion of the Cottontails - thank you for all for showing a complete stranger such a great time. Can't wait until the New Orleans reunion next year! I went to the reunion in hopes of finding anyone who had flown with my Father, Arthur Myers, I did - within 10 minutes - amazing!!! But then the really amazing thing happened - everyone had a story to tell and share, and friendships developed over those two short days. I would urge everyone to attend these wonderful yearly events - the Cottontails will welcome you with open arms!!! See you next year boys!! Nancy Jean (the crazy redhead)

My son found this site last year by typing in my father's name, Regis F. Woods into a search on Yahoo. To everyone's suprise in my family this site came up and it has been a wonderful piece of my father's history that we were not aware of. Like many veterans, he did not discuss his milatary experience, but always inpired in me an interest of this time in history. It has taken my until today to read through it and I am very impressed with this site. Thank you. 11/27/03

Great site. I just had the opportunity to meet my great uncle William "Crawford" Dudley for the first time, and we had a great time together. Although Uncle Crawford was too reticent to talk about it, his wife was kind enough to show me your web site which I really enjoyed. I've read all the Ambrose books on WWII and I think my great uncle typifies the unsung citizen-soldier heros Ambrose portrayed. I also told Uncle Crawford he was a dead-ringer for Jimmy Stewart!

Some time since I checked the site. There were two MAIDEN USA aircraft in the 722nd. I was shot down in B-24G 42-78180 MAIDEN USA. The picture of that aircraft is no longer in your file. What happened? The nose art on 78180 was more discreet, than that on 42-78392, because it was a painting of Leslie Brooks, a movie starlet. Never knew what happened to her. I know what happened to 42-78180. Best to all of the gang. Bill

My father was Bill Gernheuser, he did not speak often of the war...I think most of the memories were too painful! My mom (Jo Gernheuser) still has the artificial leg he made in prison camp and pictures as well. This web site will help fill in some blanks regarding my fathers life before me...thank you!

This is very interesting. My father was Jack G. Kath, from "My Akin (Ass)". I am interested in learning all I can about his service, to fill in blanks left in the story I can recreate from his scrapbook of WW2. Email is welcome.
