On February 19, 20114, the Cottontails Park in Manduria, Italy, was the setting for the dedication of the first 3 trees planted in the honor of 450th veterans, William Haines Sr, Paul Vegna, and Pete Garbarini Jr.
A school child has adopted the tree, to accept the responsibility of caring for it, and to learning more about the veteran it was planted for and dedicated to.
All the 450th Veterans and their families are grateful to the people of Manduria for carrying on the legacy of the 450th Bomb Group.
