was very heavy.

flames. This was
a double mission.

the plane
flew into some
high clouds out of
sight.

was really a sight
to see the
battleships
shelling the shore
and the landing
craft moving
in. Planes of
every description
were over the
area. We met
no opposition
whatsoever.
