S/Sgt. Richard L. Conkle
721st Squadron

My name is Richard I Conkle.
Through his POW record, I was able to find out my Father served in the 450th.
I would like to update his roster info and fill you in on his life after WWII.
He mustered out as a SSGT- ser#33541885.
Returning home he attended college a couple of years.
Joined up when the AirForce was seperated from the army.
He served a total of 26 years, fought in Korea and Vietnam, retired to his home state of Virginia in 1967 as a SMSGT, and died of lukemia in 1980.
He had 5 air medals, 7purple hearts and assorted other medals. We still have his combat gunners wings, which he wore with pride his entire career,

A great site I only wish Dad had of made it to the computer age. He would be proud.
I would like to know the plane he flew on.

Thank you,

Richard Conkle
